Most entrepreneurs will confess that there aren’t enough hours in a day to manage both the family life and the pressures of running a business. This will especially come when the entrepreneur is starting up when the hours are usually so few in a day for the work, add family demands to that schedule and the entrepreneur would wish that six more hour would have been added to the day. Some entrepreneurs will easily forget that they aren’t the only ones on the schedule and the family has to be considered just as much as the business. The family may end up suffering due to the demands of the business and that should never be the case. So what are the ways that an entrepreneur can use to strike a perfect balance between family and work?
Schedule Family Time
It doesn’t matter how much busy the entrepreneur is, the key is in the schedule of the day. Like you would schedule time to take up a meeting with clients, set aside some hours of the day to spend with the family. If there are kids in the picture, schedule separate time between the kids family time and the special time that you would spend with the wife. One part that most people go wrong when setting apart time for their loved ones is making unrealistic promises. Set aside, hours that can easily be manageable on each day and make sure that you meet the hours and always look forward to those hours as much as the working hours.
Compartmentalize — Work Vs Home Life
When an entrepreneur has time away from work responsibilities, be in the moment and even go as far as switch off the phone so as to not get calls from your clients. Be in the moment and give the family time the priority it deserves, as much as one would never jeopardize work hours to spend with the family. A difficulty may arise when you work from home. The entrepreneur needs to have a designated workspace that you respect and never let the work hours come in between the family hours just because you work from home.

Communication Is Key
In every relationship, communication is how the relationships get stronger. The entrepreneur is supposed to constantly update the people at home about the projects they are undertaking. At times if the project is going to take longer don’t keep the people at home waiting and worried without letting them know what is going on. But, also the entrepreneur should not make it a habit of cutting into family time. By constantly sharing, the entrepreneur will make sure that the people at home even help with the stress of the project as they know what you are going through in the work place.
Learn Value Of Patience
In startups a lot of patience is needs from both the entrepreneur and the family. The family will have to realize that when the business will be settled there will be less long nights and have to patiently wait for those moments. Also the entrepreneur will have to learn the value of being patient with the family members who may start acting out because of the long hours that they spend in the office.

Every entrepreneur should always realize that if they have it right with their family they will ensure that they have it right in the work place. The family will support you when things are not going well and will give you the strength to push on, so it paramount that the perfect balance is created between family and work.
